Canada’s poultry sector is responding to consumer and producer demands with new research designed to help the industry stay competitive while addressing concerns about animal welfare and environmental preservation. On Tuesday, at the Poultry Industry Council headquarters in Arkell, near Guelph, Gerry Ritz, federal minister of agriculture and food, announced the next round of funding for the national poultry science cluster.
